Tony Lindsey, who is Honey Boo Boo's cousin, was part of a potentially deadly and definitely stupid stunt on Highway 20 in Georgia. Lindsey, who is definitely old enough to know better, was wearing a gorilla suit and jumping into traffic when he was spotted by a local police officer, and he wasn't acting alone.
TMZ first broke the news about Crazy Tony's arrest on Nov. 30, 2012, but the incident actually took place earlier in the month. Deputy Joe Rozier officer told TMZ, "I observed a white male dressed in a gorilla suit acting as if he was going to jump into my lane of travel.
I swerved into the left lane to avoid an accident with the person." When Rozier got out of his vehicle, he witnessed a group of grown men and two minors running for the woods. Upon advising the suspects that he was planning to release his K-9, the men agreed to come back under their own power.
Deputy Joe Rozier observed that none of the individuals he apprehended, seven in total, was in possession of a gorilla suit. However, the suspects confessed to hiding the suit in the woods, where Rozier recovered it.
The five adults including Crazy Tony were arrested for reckless conduct. Of course, they are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, but anyone who would put drivers in jeopardy by running around a highway in a gorilla suit deserves to be arrested. A stunt like that could cause a potentially fatal accident, and that's no laughing matter.
