Sarah Silverman Dad Slams Rabbi, In Sarah Silverman's case, her father Albert is also a fiery, outspoken guy who isn't going to let anyone write a snarky, condescending letter to his daughter.

After seeing Sarah's "Let My People Vote" PSA, which raises awareness of how voter ID laws in many states create roadblocks for voters, Rabbi Yaakov Rosenblatt wrote an open letter to the 41-year-old comedienne on JewishPress.com, where he states that he doesn't believe Silverman has been living in accordance with what he sees as the tenets of the Jewish faith.

Albert was quick to defend his daughter in the comments section.
"Hey Rabbi Idiot: Is your wife allowed to go to a minion or sit at the front if a bus or choose between abortion or birth," Donald asked. "Take your false god and shove god up your judgmental ass. Check your wonderful bible and learn about your cruel god from a book you believe in literally."

In Rabbi Rosenblatt's letter, he said Sarah's "ideology is secular," and that "your culture may be Jewish, but your mind is not." He wrote, "nothing you say or stand for" has been in accordance with the Jewish faith, and "that the monogamous relationship is the most meaningful one and that a happy marriage is the key to wholesomeness."

But Albert didn't think one rabbi could define what makes someone Jewish.
He noted that one of his daughters is a rabbi married to one of the "the 49th most influential Jew in the world." He also pointed out that "Sarah was also on the list" and his "oldest granddaughter is serving in the Israel Defense Forces."
