Alexa Ray Joel Hits New York Fashion Week As JULIB.com On-Camera Host, Beginning tomorrow, find Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel's daughter Alexa Ray Joel all grown up and walking the red carpet at New York Fashion Week with a camera and crew in tow for the social network JULIB.com.
The chanteuse-turned-on-camera personality will be interviewing the likes of Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, Charlotte Ronson, Custo Barcelona and Whitney Port, as well as celebs, trendsetters and passersby for the site's digital coverage throughout Fashion Week.
JULIB.com – a site dedicated to "JIBing" (recommending) your favorite people, places, products and events around the world, was established in 2002 by Publisher and style expert Juli Benlevi-Zeff, and has amassed quite a following of JIBers including Ralph Lauren's daughter Dylan Lauren, photog Patrick McMullan, socialite Tinsley Mortimer, TV-host Kelly Zink, Tiger Wood's pal Rachel Uchitel, Iron Palate Judge Karine Bakhoum and celeb chef Rocco DiSpirito.
Alexa and Benlevi-Zeff will also be hosting on camera together for several events and shows, in celebration of the JULIB.com 10 Year Anniversary.
Benlevi-Zeff sold JULIB.com in 2008 for $11 million, but reacquired the site in 2010. She transformed the once e-mail-only business that competed with companies such as Daily Candy, and relaunched the brand as a social network that aggregates recommendations from people, publications, brands and celebs worldwide.
"Everyone's an expert," says Benlevi-Zeff. "and everyone has their own opinion about their favorite restaurants, hotels, designers, hair stylists, salons, beauty products and the such. But no one has aggregated that content all under one roof. Consider JULIB the place to keep your own personal Rolodex of favorites, as well as share them with people around the world.
" Apparently JIBing has become such an addiction for some users that the site's programming team has been working overtime to manage the incoming traffic to its 15 editions including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Paris, London, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C., The Hamptons, Boston, Orange County and Travel.
