LSU's Caldwell gives birth to a (Justin Fargas) baby girl, The LSU women's basketball family has a new member. On Tuesday head coach Nikki Caldwell gave birth to a little girl.

Justice Simone Fargas was born at 5:44 a.m. and weights in at 6 pounds, 15 ounces. Caldwell and the baby are healthy and resting comfortably with her longtime boyfriend Justin Fargas, a former NFL player for the Oakland Raiders. The baby, which was due March 24th, arrived nearly three weeks early.

"We are doing great and excited about this beautiful moment in our lives," said Caldwell. "Being a mother has always been a dream of mine. Justin and I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of support from our LSU family and fans. I will be back on the court soon."

Just 48 hours earlier Caldwell had lead the Tigers to the championship game of the SEC where they fell to Tennessee. Caldwell will coach the Tigers in the NCAA Tournament, which will be LSU's 21st all-time appearance and first since 2010.

LSU is expected to draw a top five seed in the NCAA Tournament when the field of 64 is announced on Monday, March 12 at 6 p.m. on ESPN. The Lady Tigers are hosting the first and second rounds in the Maravich Center.
